Delaware Urban Agriculture / Community Garden Micro-Grants

Delaware's urban agriculture and community garden micro-grant initiative is entering its second year of supporting projects across Delaware.

Applications are for $1,000 for reimbursement grants. Eligible applicants include community groups, religious institutions, schools, and other organizations. A total of $20,000 in funding is available this fiscal year, and funding will become available in early 2017. The deadline for this grant has expired (applications were due by 4:30 p.m. Feb. 17, 2017).

The initial pilot grant program, launched in 2016, helped support 11 projects. The Delaware Department of Agriculture, which has provided technical and other assistance to many community garden projects, began the micro-grant program as another way to support these communities.
