Young Farmers Program

Young Farmers Farmland Purchase and Preservation Loan Program

The Young Farmers Program is designed to help young farmers acquire farmland through a long-term, no-interest loan. This program is administered by the Delaware Department of Agriculture, Aglands Preservation Program.

Loan applications are not being accepted for the Young Farmers Program. Interested individuals can submit a prequalification application at any time.

The first class of young farmers was announced Aug. 1, 2012, with Gov. Jack Markell recognizing the participants.
