Young Farmers Farmland Purchase and Preservation Loan Program
The Young Farmers Program is designed to help young farmers acquire farmland through a long-term, no-interest loan. This program is administered by the Delaware Department of Agriculture, Aglands Preservation Program.
Loan applications are now being accepted for the Young Farmers Program, through Nov. 30, 2013. Interested individuals can submit a prequalification application at any time.
The first class of young farmers was announced Aug. 1, 2012, with Gov. Jack Markell recognizing the participants.
