Young Farmers Farmland Purchase and Preservation Loan Program
The Young Farmers Program is designed to help young farmers acquire farmland through a long-term, no-interest loan. This program is administered by the Delaware Department of Agriculture, Aglands Preservation Program.
The Department is not accepting loan applications at this time. However, interested individuals can submit a prequalification application at any time. The dates for the next round of loan applications should be announced after July 1, 2013.
The first class of young farmers was announced Aug. 1, 2012, with Gov. Jack Markell recognizing the participants.
