PESTICIDE APPLICATOR RECERTIFICATION
Private Certification is valid for three years, and Commercial Certification is valid for one year. After this period of time, you must demonstrate that you remained in compliance with changes, and Recertify. To Recertify you can either retake the exam or collect the required number of recertification hours.
Hours Needed for Recertification:
Private Applicators need three (3) recertification hours every three(3) years.
Commercial Applicators need the following hours every year to renew:

Where You Get Hours
Applicators may find programs to obtain the recertification training necessary to renew their pesticide applicator certification by viewing our online site containing applicator courses. You may also visit the "2012 Delaware Cooperative Extension Horticulture Short Courses" for additional information on acquiring hours. These sites are updated regularly with the programs, conferences and seminars that have been approved by the Department of Agriculture for pesticide applicator certification.
Attending Programs Not Pre-Authorized
If you attend a program that was not pre-authorized for recertification hours, you may still get credit. Send in a copy of the program and proof of attendance to:

Credit may be awarded if the material covered at least one of the following topics/issues: pesticide safety, pesticides and the environment, pest information, methods of control or pesticide information.
